research and planning- production meeting three
In this meeting we discussed our chosen plot idea this was 'ace is high'
After we had allocated roles we decided to pick and change our story line and our character profiles.
After we had allocated roles we decided to pick and change our story line and our character profiles.
- What we decided about characters was that the killer will be a sociopathic killer meaning he would be highly intelligent and cunning and a lot less likely to get caught than a psychopath, and the sociopath is more likely to dislike the police detective for his gambling addiction.
- We decided the police detective would be a definate gambler and this would be to help understand the story and why the film is called 'Ace is high' the killer leaves playing cards to taunt the detectives.
- The higher the card the higher importance the murder is to the detective this then means that he knows that he needs to catch the murderer before he becomes the victim with a card on him himself.
- We decided to allocate certain people to certain cards, such as the queen is his wife.
research and planning: production meeting one
- In our first production meeting we had a discussion of the roles we will take on.
- The options are: Sound, Editing, Cinematography and Mis en scene.
- Kristian will take on the mis en scene, this will include all props, make up and costumes.
- Adam will take on cinematography, this will include shot types, angles and scene set ups.
- Bethany will take on editing, this will include transitions between scenes, fluidity and a range of editing techniques.
- We decided that we would do sound together as this is what we considered to be the hardest area.
This discussion lasted 15 minutes and everyone equally contributed there thoughts and ideas.
