Evaluation: Question 3: What have you learned from audience feedback

This is some audience feedback we have received since our film trailer has been finalised, we used a male and female to show different gender perpective.

This is me showing you the changes that we made in accordance to our audience feedback
  • point made in this clip:
  • black and white screen to mske scene more lifelike as not allowed in a real casino
  • voice over changed from female to male
  • cut out the actual murder to not give away anything
  • only short interview scene
  • added a countdown
  • female voice used for this as sounds better whispering more creepy

this is my gif showing my target audience

Research and planning- audience feedback of trailer

This was the feedback we received when posting our trailer on youtube, this didn't give us anything to improve on however after showing the trailer to some our audiences we were told to adjust a few things:

  • Add an extra voiceover when seeing the cards are they aren't visible enough
  • Lengthen the clips of on the montage to also help with this issue

Research and planning: age certificate

Our genre of film is thriller, therefore the most likely age certificate to have on our film would be 15. This is due to there being violent content in them. Our trailer also shows blood in it which suggests that violence is key in it, also the montage of deaths further suggests that this will be a violent film.

It wouldn't be able to be a 12A film as the implications of violence aren't seen as acceptable for a minor to see as it could harm there mental well being.

However an age 18 certificate could not be put on this film as the violence is moderate and doesn't contain any sexual content or explict language

Research and Planning: pictures development of distribution company for trailer

This is the pictures Adam created from my logo for the distributions company as we both felt that the distribution company should have some movement in it on the trailer.

Research and Planning: Green screen used in trailer

We saw a couple of different green screens however we chose the first one as we felt it looked more professional and up to date than the other than looked quite simple and old.

Research and planning: The final shot on the trailer in development

We took a photo of the playing cards used in our trailer we then cut them out and placed them on a block black screen we added the red glow around them to make them look more 3-D and create the look of blood. Seen as the cards our the symbols we use throughout this film it seemed best to have them on our final shot as they will be a reminder of the whole film to anyone who watches the trailer.

research and planning: development of pictures of production company for trailer

As our production company's logo is a light bulb we thought it best suiting to add it being turned on and lighting up as our animation for the trailer.
